Guaranteed Working Hours
Policy for dealing with any employee that hasn’t worked the full 336 hours in a 12 month period
The Company guarantees that you will be offered at least 336 hours of work over the 12 month period commencing on the date of the commencement of your employment (“Commencement Date”) and over each successive working year commencing on each anniversary of your Commencement Date. The assignment rate for those guaranteed hours will be not less than an hourly rate equivalent to the standard rate. This guarantee applies only once you have worked for the Company for a continuous period of 12 months. You are not entitled to any particular guaranteed number of hours for any period of employment of less than 12 months in any working year. The Apportionment Act 1870 shall not apply to this agreement;
it is expected that throughout your Employment you will be on assignment in a series of assignments;
the Company prides itself on being a reputable, reliable and trustworthy employer, prioritising its relationship with its employees and to this end, in the event of you approaching 12 months of Employment having worked less than 336 hours in the relevant 12 month period, of assignment work, the Company (unless the Employment has been terminated pursuant to this Agreement and subject to your compliance with the Availability Confirmation requirements in clause 4.2(a) will pay you for the remaining hours at the standard rate to ensure that you have received at least 336 hours’ worth of pay from the Company during the 12 month period.
